Product Description: This item depicts a full figured Bulldog sculpted by hand in alabaster. The bulldog is partially hovering over a portion of a painted and embellished British flag and has a painted collar in blue. The condition is best shown in the pictures but has some wear. Note the left corner is has a piece long lost yet doesn’t alter the demeanor that face is trying to convey! Probably first quarter 20th century in terms of age, it still retains that ominous glare despite the wear. He (we think) stands 4 inches tall by 5 inch in length and ~3 in wide.
Provenance: Purchased from an estate in Baltimore Maryland. Curiously enough the individuals had no history other than their parents would travel extensively as this was likely one of the items they would shop for while traveling. Sounds reasonable to us.
