Product Description – This is a pretty unusual piece. First, let me say how beautiful this vase displays. Circa 1920’s, the gold aurene color is bright with the blue “pulled feathers” and white stripes creating this extraordinary use of colors by the artisan who created this piece. It still retains most of the glass threading highlighting the exterior of the vase. The great part of this example is the unique use of this vase. It retains an internal bracket that would be used to drill this vase for mounting as a lamp. However this was not drilled and still retains the original sticker and signature for DURAND. A really unique find and in almost pristine condition. The vase measures 11 in tall X 5 inches at its widest point. There are no nicks, cracks or breaks in the glass. Needless to say we immediately fell in love with this as soon as we saw it in the China closet. The previous owner felt the same way we did!
Provenance – Another example from the Baltimore estate with a large collection of Art Glass. The owners were very particular of their purchases and often spent their time attending Antique shows and estate sales looking for better examples of Art Glass. This was one of their best pieces and one that will stand out in any collection!
