Product Description – This item is for a great tin windup Circa 1930-40s called PINOCCHIO THE ACROBAT. It is marked on the side WALT DISNEY PROD 1939 and was produced by the MARX toy company. This large toy has a 3D version of Pinocchio doing acrobatic exercises as you windup and watch the toy go. It was was obviously well loved and played with yet still retains good color and graphics to a large extent. This toy does have surface rust in various locations. Pinocchio the Acrobat measures 15 inches in height and about 12 inches in length. Again, this does have some rust, but given the age and the obvious collectors value we think this would be a great addition to any toy collection. Of course, we’ll price this according to condition for active toy collectors.
Provenance – Purchased from a private estate collection in Charleston, SC. The owners were active collectors of toys, cast iron banks and other door stops. Several of which we hope to list soon.
